How we make a difference

B.R. worked full time in technical services in the region. After an escalating labour conflict in September 2025 he lost his job. The employer reported to UWV that the dismissal was his own fault, and the unemployment benefit application was rejected.

The foundation acted as a bridge: explanation in plain language, guidance on legal steps, and an objection procedure with UWV. Payslips were also checked. Errors in deductions and holiday pay came to light.

In December 2025 a settlement agreement was signed: salary continuation until March 2026, transition payment, and retention of unemployment rights. The municipality temporarily supported legal costs.

B.R. regained structure and income security instead of stagnation. The unemployment objection led to a positive outcome; he is now exploring suitable work.

V.D. came to us at the end of 2025 in a difficult period. First work at a shop fell away, shortly after also at a care institution. Debts had built up, letters kept arriving and there was no stable home.

In the autumn V.D. was already looking for footing. Through volunteer work, daily structure slowly returned. That brought calm and something to build on while the rest of the situation remained fragile.

The foundation tackled administration firmly. All creditors were mapped. Letters were sorted, deadlines tracked and handled step by step.

In parallel we helped with income and work. The unemployment application required many documents. These were collected, checked and submitted. Unemployment benefit was eventually granted.

Finances also became clearer. Income and fixed costs were structured so it was clear what came in, what had to go out and what remained for debts.

Around housing the process continued at the same time. V.D. had temporary shelter but no rental home of his own. The process is not yet complete; there is still no definitive rental home.

V.D. is now working on stability: less chaos in administration, more grip on money and housing, and perspective on suitable work.
